i'll do asap and post results. I have this test kit(Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Freshwater Master Test Kit) thought it had all I needed something im missing?
I have that kit as well and it works for me. It doesnt have GH or KH, but I found a test strip for about $2 that handles those. That kit you have shows the most important stuff, and its a liquid test kit which is better than the test strips.
The test kit you have is fine. Its one of the best ones out there. Unless you have a planted tank, or need to watch the pH there is no real need for a KH or GH test. Test strips are not good. They almost never give you the right numbers (IME), as you have already pointed out.
tested now PH 7.6 - nitrates 0 - nitrites 0 - ammonia .25. Do you think bio spira not working and do I need more. Put in 3 oz package? water change 50% ?
Do a water change and see if you can't get the amonia to 0. I don't have much experience with bio spira though, you may want to start another thread, so that you can get a better answer about if it is working or not
