serpae and betta ?

i am planing to add a few more fish after my cycle is finish. the cycle has reach the nitrite part of it. i have a 30g tank, 4 fake plants, 4 rocks. current living tenants 6 serpea tetras, 3 colored skirt tetras. I want to add 1 set of schooling fish and may be 2 center piece. this is what i was think if anyone has any idea

6 serpea tetras
3 colored skirt tetras
9 Tiger Barb ( 3 Longfin Tiger Barb, 3 Tiger Barb, 3 Albino Tiger Barb )
2 betta

can the serpae and betta live together. if no what are 2 good center piece
fish.

thanks i planing getting a female and male batta. i was planning on waiting until the cycle finish.
 
The fins of your bettas will get torn up by the serpae tetras and tiger barbs. I advise against bettas.
 
With your other stock, I would not suggest bettas. I also would do a water change with that level of nitrites.
 
:iagree: have to get tank cycled first serpae tetras and barbs are not a good idea with a betta they will nip at their fins.
 
Serpaes are incredibly nippy.... I wouldn't recommend them with bettas to be sure.

You couldn't keep them in the same tank together, there would be fighting.
 
NO don t give the fin phirranna serpaes big fins to eat why???
