no, there are two types of serpae tetra, the lighter, more golden body one is the more common Serpae.
the other is a slightly different species, or subspecies, i suppose.
i have five of the latter. I bought them as 'Hi Fin Serpaes,' but they definately are different fish. they are characterized by a darker red body and i taller dorsal (top) fin.
neat fish, probably my favorite tetra. theyre a little more aggressive than most tetras, in my experience.
