I would like to set up a 46gal bowfront again with colorful fresh water fish, poor mans saltwater tank. I would like to have a good number of fish to keep things lively. I used to have a few African chilids because of how eay they were to take care of. Please advise of any common fish that i could find at a pet store. How many fish will this tank support?

You need to narrow it down a bit....is there any specific fish you'd like to keep? Plants or no plants? What kind of filtration do you have? Have you cycled the tank?
