Several Newbie questions..

How long does it usually take to get rid of Ick?
I got the salt & an additive (that turned my whole tank blue).. Im gonna try and treat the whole tank with him in it...
 
The life cycle is dependent on temp. but in a tropical tank it will be around 4 days. The general rule is that you should treat for a week after the symptoms are gone. What kind of additive did you get, Methylene blue?
