Yep. Max size is 8" but most don't reach that.
A festivum would work but with the initial stock that is too much. I'd say remove the angel and that might leave enough room, but barely. The only other issue is that the tank would be pretty bottom heavy...

how do you mean bottom heavy pap? and i think im gonna rehome the ram instead of the angel as i never see him and the angel is always in front for me to see
I would still get rid of the angel instead if you get the festivum, as they get much larger than rams, both in length and depth.
looks like i wont be gettin him for awhile festivums cost 25$ at my LFS..... and i spend money like u wouldnt belive so itll be awhile, mabye ill ask for him at christmas :grinyes:
I mean you would have quite a lot of fish that stick to the bottom of the tank. The ram might not work well with the festivum, who are push overs from what I've heard. But it all depends on the personality of your ram.
well im not sure on that rams personality! he looked as docile as ever this mornin then i added my swordtail from my 10 g and he looked as peeved as he has ever in his life! he chased it a bit then gave up and went and hid under a rock and i havent seen him since...
