I have a 55 gallon with two Green Severeum and 5 Ottos in it (and a couple snails.. it's a planted tank).

Lo and behold while I was away on my honeymoon they took the time for a little amore of theyir own and I have several wrigglers on a log in the tank they used to breed on apparently.

Any special considerations you guys would recommend to hopefully have some fry survive? Do I need to seperate the parents or let them care to the wee ones? Will the Otto's pose a predatory issue, or do you think they'll stick to the algae in the tank (still a problem as I have not picked up my regulator to add C02 to that tank yet...)

Your Otto is very likely try to snack on the fry. If you do want some fry servive, either remove otto or the fry (once they are free swimmers).

What i'm considering strongly at this point is a screen divider in the tank to keep the fry on one side and everything else (including parents) over on the other. But as of this morning they were still just wrigglers and not free swimming yet. So it will probably be this weekend before that goes into effect.

That or get one or two of the 30 gallons I have in "Dry dock" running again real quick as a fry grow out tank.
