Generally it depends on their nature. You could well be lucky and pull it off if they are young but I would advise against keeping more than a pair in any tank. And whenever possible not to put 2 males in any one tank really.

rightnow they are in a 300 gal with 2 arowanas.

That pair looks great, but with the 2 aro's and everything else you have in the tank it might be to much.

thanks the 2 aros are only about 8 inches.
planning to get another 8 footer and separate some fishes

Ok never mind then, I can't see why you wouldn't be able to house another pair in there then.
