sexing an opaline gourami

thanks rw. when i say i feed him a lot it means that i put multiple feedings next to him but with the danios and rasboras he is lucky to get a few flakes. just making sure he is eating but also making sure he doesnt overeat.

This was my Opaline but I recently gave him to a friend because I am tearing down my 29 to give to my wife's grandmother because I got her addicted to fish while she was staying with us. On the bright side I will probably end up getting a 44 gallon tank out of it.

Ok, I was just looking closely at my gouramis like this, and they are actually the 3 spot gouramis. I remember once upon a time having "opaline gouramis" that looked like tjg2007's more black and silver than blue.
 
Update? How's the gourami doing now?
 
I'm glad he has a new home. I have 2 just like him. Mine have a few dark areas on them. I bet his color will brighten up.They are very hardy. Mine survived a 3 day power loss ,water temp went to 45 degrees, last year. I finally found somewhere to take them for a few days. Your flagtail is awesome !!
