Just got some cichlids, and have no idea how to sex them (just in case I want to breed in the future). Any ideas?

Currently have:

JD
Oscar
GT
Psudo Zebra (I think, although all of the pics I see are blue, this one is yellow)
Red Peacock
A.N.Other (cannot remember the name, but is African, yellow, with back horizontal stripes).

Any info would be appreciated.

Do you have them all in the same tank? What size tank? The africains and CA/SA will require different water types. Oscar only way is to get 6-10 and let two pair off and that might not even work b/c 2 females will pair together. The best way to get a pair is the above way. Another way is to take pictures of you fish and ask on here and other cichlid sites, most likely you will get an answer.I have a female JD if you look at my pictures below. I don't know what sex the GT is yet.

EDIT : Some GT Pictures

JD female has more blue spangles on gill plate. JD male has more spangles on body than female. GT male has hump when reaches certain size. Also has dorsal fin that's lengthy (assume no other fish nip those pretty fins away). Some people identify GT by where the spangles start on the fish. I've never tried that method. They said male's spangles start very near to gill (observe from dorsal fin...should start from the first few spines dorsal fin). Oscar is impossible to sex unless until one drop eggs first :D

ur peacock is african higher ph levels at least 8.0. They are very easy to sex, the males will have lots of colors while females remain greyish with very little color at all and i mean very little if any.
