I've had a little geo jururpari for about a year now and I've been smitten with the little guy. He used to have a friend when he was younger but she died of mysterious causes with no disease or marks from tank mate abuse (only fish I lost in the tank in 2 years). I love these fish a d was wondering if there are any good sexing techniques. I want to find the sex out and try to get an appropriate mate and eventually end with two pairs of breeders to start trying out the breeder’s racquet. Any help with sexing or breeding is greatly appreciated.

doing a quick search has yeilded a little bit of info, and from what I have gathered they aren't the easiest fish to sex. Supposidly the males have slightly more pointed anal and ventral fins, as well as blue colored dots along the body and black streaks on the head. I'm assuming though that this way of sexing them is only appliable if the fish are mature.
