sexing Yellow Labs

I was given 6 Labs a year ago and don't know for sure what sex they are. I read that the Males have a black anal fin. Is this correct?

Males and females look identical. The only way to sex them is by venting.

Actually, it's fairly easy to sex yellow labs. The male's reproductive organs are easy to recognize, since a typical yellow lab weighs 65 - 80 pounds. Males will typically lift their legs to urinate, often on a stationary object such as a fire hydrant.

Yes, the male does have a more black anal fin also the ventral fins will have more black in them. Of the three females i have, they do have some black in thier fins, but just a thin stripe. Also the males will get a bit bigger than the females about 1/3 larger.
