yeah, I have a friend who added 5 gallons of chlorinated water to his fw 20 gallon, but all fish lived. There was only 2 danios and a tiger barb, if hardiness matters.

I have hardwood flors and once when I was pouring water in from a bucket had had a little spillage..no biggie right? Well I went to get the other bucket was walking rather quickly slipped on the water an the floor and with full force , bucket and all went flying into the tank and actually BROKE the tank...talk about panic...
How about cleaning the tank with a siphon hose into a plastic garbage can and not realizing garbage can is cracked until you realize you are standing in water. Jeeze.
