Ok, i have had to put my albino sharks back together as the one i moved started chasing the new corys i got, after 10 mins back together they were fighting, one has been badly beaten up and fins are pretty mashed, what can i do? I need to move him VERY quick to somewhere so they can be split up, but i have no where at all, i dunno what to do, the best thing i can think off is putting a fish bag in full up and keeping him in that in the tank till tommorow night when i can take him to the LFS and hope they will take him.

It is virtually impossible to keep more than one shark in any size tank as you are finding out the hard way. You can't even mix the different species of sharks together. I would either put the less aggressive of the two back in the other tank or rig up some sort of divider to keep the two apart. As a last resort you can keep the more aggressive fish in a bag but you have to do frequent water exchanges. Do not try to return the beaten up fish, I don't know of any lfs that would take one back in that shape. This is the biggest reason for doing your homework before you purchase any fish. If you would have posted a question about multiple sharks in the same aquarium you would have found out it can't be done. Hope everything works out.

i know, i had these apart though, but when i got corys he was trying to beat them up too. I dunno what im gunna do with him.

You can use a bucket, or rubbermaid container to house the agressor until you can return him to the store (I'd leave the beaten up fish where he is to recover with as little stress as possible). I'd buy a new bucket (or use one you know has never had chemicals/soaps/cleaning solutions in it), place some plants in it for cover, add an airstone or small filter if you have one, and keep the fish there. If you don't have a heater for the bucket, either keep it somewhere warm where the temperature is steady, or use a tank divider or breeder net (less desirable but more acceptable solution than letting them kill eachother) to separate the fish until you can get one to the store. If you have a large mason jar or a clean food/storage container and a clamp, you can isolate the fish in the jar - place the jar inside the tank and use the clamp to secure it to the side. The tank water will keep the container warm, but you'll probably want to change some of the container's water a few times each day to keep the ammonia down.

I have a bucket but no heater, filter, spare plants :(

I have put the beaten up one back with the corys, i have turned all lights off so its pitch black, this should make the visibilty alot harder and should stop the corys from being chased for now, am i right?

Is the beat one the same one who you thought was going to die soon? If so im glad to see its still hanging in there!!! A note on the mason jar setup: if you use a plastic cup/container and poke a bunch of holes in it, you won't have to worry about temp/water changes. make sure the top of the container is above the water level so they don't try to get back into the tank( a cover of some sort would also work) The lighting should help the cories, but seperation would be better.

wont a cup be a bit small for him, i know its only a night, but will he be ok, i was thinking maybe a plastic jar with holes in, one other thing, if it has holes it will sink, so he will get out of the top, unless i have a lid with some holes in too, im getting really annoyed with my tanks lately, i might just give up.

And yes, its the one i thought was gunna die, he ok though, just beaten up.
