Port Orchard, Wa.
Hello, I am looking for a good home for a columbian shark catfish. He is approximately nine inches long and very healthy. He's is in strong brackish water, but eventually needs to be in full marine as he matures. He is not agressive, but will eat small fish.
He's really a cool fish, but needs more room that I can offer to him. I live in the Tacoma,Washington area. Willing to travel a reasonable distance to get him into a good home.

Please email with any questions. Thank you.

Or even contact your local Public Aquarium.
When I had my Columbian Shark Catfish Target Fish and Red Mangrove Snapper I posted them to go to a really good home and Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. They wanted my Target Fish & Red Mangrove Snapper, but didn't want my Shark Catfish. I ended up selling them back to the pet store. I wish I didn't do it afterwards. The LFS put them in a small freshwater tank then split them up. Then one-by-one they disappeared. Sorta like any of the rest of the fish there. I think that my LFS kills more than they sell. That is of brackish water fish. They are always putting Damsels and Clown fish in brackish and renaming them Brackish Damsels and Brackish Clowns.
I tell them that there is no such thing. Well the Brackish Damsels don't look like the ones I know of that can go brackish. ONLY 3 kinds and they are rarely ever if not never on any fish list or any LFS.
Columbian Shark Catfish Are native to the Southern California to Peru.
If you can't find a home you can always travel to set it free. :)

Coral Reef is good for taking on "used" fish.

WHAT LFS in (Chicago?) are you taking them to?

This was last year!
LFS in Michigan, across the lake from Chicago.
I offered them last year about this time.
