Well I figure I'll put some shots of my tank up. Sorry for the quality, I'll pick up some film for the Canon this weekend. Let me know what you think. This whole setup was given to me. I rearranged some of the plumbing, cleaned all of the pumps, rewired all the lights, installed a digital timing controller, and filled 'er up. That was 4 months ago, and here we are.

The front part of the canopy swings upward for access, I am currently designing a temp monitor and controller to handle those tasks. I wanted to mount a VFD display in blue on the face of the canopy access that would show current system stats (temp, flow, lighting status, etc)

When I get that underway I want to build a control interface to handle the on/off control of all the electrical equipment. The interface from a modern microcontroller (eg. PIC, Amtel) to a desktop computer are trivial so I want to set up an Apache server w/php to collect stats on display them in pretty graphs on the internet. Maybe even a web enabled camera to view the tank from the internet, with php you could even write a script to control the lights, pumps, heater/cooler or whatever from the web while you watch the cam online.

Well I guess I will get off the soapbox now, I am a geek from multiple angles and I am always thinking of ways to make it all work together.

Talk to you later,
Shawn

Haven't figured it out yet. The only thing that is in the now are 4 Philipino turbos, 5 Mexican Turbos, and 2 small crabs. Waiting for a shipment of live rock and another 20lbs of sand. There are still some things that I need(want) to engineer so I guess we'll see what we'll see.

Open for suggestions.......

Thanks for looking,
Shawn

Nice start!

That massive thing is a mexican turbo, I think, the way the shot is it looks massive, it's only about 1.25in big.

We must have ourselves a techie LOL!
