Thats wierd. Normally holding females dont attack anything because they have a mouth full of eggs.

For eggs to hatch outside of the mothers mouth, you must use an egg tumbler. These are only sufficient if the eggs are about to hatch or the fry still have eggsacs.

oh. ok. by ya, i constantly see the female biting the male in the lip when he challenges her for dominance. (it looks REALLY weird!) it kind of makes me worry because i can SEE the eggs in her mouth, but she is just so agressive. i guess it is because she is in such a small tank with other fish? anyways, i hope that she will chillax when i move all my fish into my 75gal.
