They're more than twice my age! But, from what I understand, the longer they age, the more the hatch rate drops. Never heard of 43 year old eggs being tested, but, who knows, you may get something.
That seems to be true. But I have heard that keep in a dry environment they can last a long, long time. I have no idea how these have been kept over the years so even if I only get one I will be happy! And they are only 10 years older that me.
I guess you are not heating the water - the instructions on the egg I bought say it should be 27 - 30* C.
Do others normally use a heater for hatching?

No, I am not going to be doing any extra heating. The light that's on it seems to keep it warm enough. I think temp has a lot to do with hatch time. my eggs can be done at 21*/27*C. The warmer the water the faster they hatch.
And that dog is my parents rarely seen, slobber tooth tiger.
