Now I think I'm decided to have a Multi colony tank; no later than next Christmas! I have a space for a 20H tank. With how many multis can I start in such a tank? They look awesome guarding their fry, Pitt!!!
Awww. Little cuties! Do you play them love songs often? I sit and play in front of my tank, but they only hang out because they think they're getting fed. Kinda like the rest of my live performances, lol.

Efors my Mutli tank is a 20gal long and i originally started out with 4 males and 4 females and all worked out, so i would say at least 6 to start..

No not really after i had a secure amount of fry i started to trade and give away some adults so that i wouldn't experience any issues i still have two adult pairs left in the tank and they are fine but i received all of mine at the same time as Juvies when i first started..
I see where you are coming from and i have heard the same issues that as when they reach maturity they get aggressive towards each other and kill off competition but i never experienced any issues..
Go for it dude you will love them.. 10gal 15gal 20gal it doesn't matter they will breed in a mud puddle hehehehe..
