Turns out I was wrong by not being wrong :drool: I just received this reply when inquiring about permits for shipping eggs (04/30/08)...
"APHIS will not authorize the interstate movement of eggs for the aquatic
snail Pomacea (bridgesii) diffusa. If you know of someone who has a permit
authorizing interstate movement of these eggs we can assume that the
application was processed incorrectly, the errors were not detected during
the final review and the permit was issued in error. APHIS has the
authority to revoke any issued permits and seize and safeguard unauthorized
specimens. You may contact me directly if you have additional questions.
