I'm a crayfish in disguise...

I just discovered that the last of my Kordon Breather Bags had small tears in them, rendering them useless for shipping. I'm in the process of buying more, however, I have a group of juvenile crayfish that need to be shipped tomorrow morning. They are only traveling within the state (NJ), so overnight/next day shipping. Can I use regular fish bags (like what you bring fish home in from pet stores) to ship them in since the trip is going to be short, or do I need to try and talk the buyer into waiting until my new Kordon Breather Bags arrive? Thanks!

You can use regular fish bags....just be sure to put 2/3 oxygen to 1/3 water and at least double, maybe triple bag for crays.

I always use regular fish bags. Kordon's breather bags are really an unnecessary luxury if anything.

Also consider throwing something in the bag (such as floss, moss, etc) with the crayfish so they have something to hold onto.

I might suggest throwing newspaper between the layers of bags, too, so that you run much less of a chance of them getting through all three.
