Shipping to Canada, and Evaporating Fish

Inform paypal about Steeve's (Chris) bad habits and maybe it will be sufficient enough to drop the case.

it sounds to me like the guy is trying to scam you. i had this happen to me once, lady bought 100$ worth of african cichlids, then complained that the box was "busted" and fish were missing. me being me, i offered to resend her fish if she paid the shipping again. ok np, well she orders some more fish and inverts as well. then 3 days later i get an email saying she never got the package. well i checked the tracking number and it said the package was picked up at the post office. after some hate mail that ended it. well 1 1/2 to 2 years later the same lady (i remembered her name very well) emails me saying her crayfish died and wanted to buy more. the crayfish i sent her was in the box "she never got" ...

long story short, people are scam artists.

So, the latest story is that he checked the box again, and found that the original box had been repacked inside another box and the customs forms/envelope put on top of that. He said the single bag/pleco was wrapped in bubble wrap, which I never use for shipping fish, and the original box was damp.

I definitely agree with earlier posters, that you should inform PayPal of the buyer's credibility issue here.

Also, the whole "I don't care how much it costs" routine just makes it seem like he never intended to pay in the first place. My 2 cents.

Did he send any pics documenting any of his claims? It sounds really crazy that he would have not checked everything if he was missing 2 fish. Yeah I definitely smell a scam here.

The guy is definitely trying to scam you, thumbs up on the idea of telling paypal about his credibility.

The fact that he was persistant about getting them to him, I think it's a total scam. Sorry to hear that. But, there really are a lot of dishonest people in the world.
