So I have my tank of Brackish creatures (is home to 3 Anableps, 4 Dalmation Mollies, 2 Knight Gobies and 2 BBG's), and last night one of the Mollies apparently gave birth. I was shocked to find this morning 11 babies survived being in a tank of Anableps (who are hungry and on the prowl for food ALL the time), and the Knight Gobies will devour anything also. I couldn't believe 11 survived, so I decided to be nice and give them their own tank (it's a new tank but used tank water from the established tank and all the substrate is from the main tank), so they are resting comfortably without the threat of being eaten. They are really cute being grey with TINY black dots already. Should be fun to watch them grow, I haven't dealt with livebearers in years. Anyway just had to share in my shock in that 11 little tiny babies would survive the wrath of 3 ever hungry Anableps ! Oh and the Anableps continue to court and breed, so maybe in 2 months time we will have baby Anableps too! :headbang2:

9 of the 11 were hiding in a surface plant that is fake, but is easily Anablep accessible. Two of the 11 were out free swimming ! Yep, the babies are in 1.010 Brackish water. They are all 11 still doing great! The big challenge will be the Anableps, see if they can raise kidlets. Time will tell!
