Shoudl I change my wet dry filter

I've found that *most* fish like to chase their food - after all, in nature they don't pull up chairs at a restaurant and wait for the food to be delivered, they HUNT. Having said that, switching off the power head during feeding won't be a problem.

It is a 72 G Bowfront SW. Based on advice from dorkfish - I am going to buy a LifeReef prefilter box. Dont know if this will resolve my problem. The Overflow box I have with my A Miracle Wet Dry looks very much like the LifeReef - Just one more confirmation before i can bite the bullet

After seeing this link and the product I have discovered that it is the same syphon that came with the tank I just newly purchsed from a friend. When I set it up I went through about two dozen tests of "power failure" and have not had a problem with this starting back up...

In fact as soon as my pump starts putting water back into the tank it takes off. The one thing I have noticed however though is that the aquasilcener is absolutely necessary in my case. Without it, all I hear is gurgling..
