Should i add carbon?

I have a penguin bio-wheel filter for my 25 gallon, i was wondering if every once in a wheel it would be good to throw a bag of carbon into the back of the HOB filter?

I don't use carbon on a regular basis, only if I need to remove meds or something from the water. If the tank is stable and healthy, it's really not necessary.

I use it all the time, using carbon on a consistent basis would be better than just once in awhile.......

I don't use it. I only run carbon if I am removing medication from the water.

Regular partial water changes basically do the job of carbon.

As others have stated, use it to quickly remove meds in conjunction with regular water changes.
