i perfer a reactor with powerhead. both disolves the co2 in the water and then spreads it around the tank. i tried the the ladder and it worked ok, but im gettin more co2 dissolved with the powerhead mixing the co2.

hm, im just afraid a powerhead is going to be too powerful for my little 28 gallon tank. Can you recommend a powerhead and reactor for my application?

i use a rio 600 that pushes water into a old graval vac tube(i cut it to make it shorter) the idea is that the bubble rise and the water pushes them down. i added some bio balls so the bubbles wont just blow out the bottom, wrks well. i tried just pluggin my lne into a power and it just shot tiny bubble into the water, why i switch to the tube.

a good idea of wht it looks like, i had to cut the tube so it would fit, wrks just fine.

hm, this just confuses me even more

I would go with a diffuser on a tank of that size. Actually, I just started using 2 diffusers instead of a diffuser and powerhead reactor. I personally can see better results with the diffuser a few days after the switch. So, now diffusers are my personal favorite(once u get past seeing all the little bubbles) so there.

my tank is smaller then urs but if the design confuses u just go with the bell diffuser, tht wrks well too.

go with a reactor.. it's money more efficiently spent, and if you decide to upgrade it'll suit the bigger tank anyway. :)
