hi, all! :hi: I need to know if it's a good idea to cover my tank at night, like I do with my budgie's cage. whenever I do, they all seem more active and vibrant in the morning than when I don't. I know most fish are crepuscular, and I just want to know if its unecessary. :o

The reason for covering a budgie is to keep the heat in. You dont have to do that with your fish as you have the heater doing that ;)
well, here it is the height of summer, and because I live at such a northernly latitude, it's light 20 hours a day, even at 11:00 PM! so I cover their enclosures so they can both get a good night's sleep, not to keep them warm.
