Should i euthanize my fish? How?

palmbreeze: If she's dying, personally, yes, I think you should euthanize her. Beyond that, reading the article is the best way to figure out what works well for you. Actually asking people for the "best way" usually isn't too constructive, though, just because of the myriad of opinions about it. The only thing everyone can agree on is don't flush the poor thing.

Thank you all for your quick responses. She is really bad now, the other fish are starting to eat her etc. I looked all over for clove oil and could not find it anywhere! So, I have put her in some water and she is in the freezer. This is horrible! I hate doing this, but I can't stand to see her suffer like that. She is a larger cichlid about four inches. :( Thanks again for all your help.

Any ideas where to get clove oil for future reference?

I'm just guessing here, but homeopathic stores, herbal remedy stores (same thing) and maybe some "Whole Foods" markets might have them???

Edit: Apparently you can get it at drug stores, too. Check out this other article here.

Just about any pharmacy will have clove oil in the toothache section. It's primarypurpose is to deaden the pain of toothaches.
