On the other hand, if you DON'T take a cookie, or 12, you run the risk of offending the kind soul that took the time to bake them and assumed you'd be enjoying them along with your boss. I say eat the cookies, without mercy, and let it be a lesson to your boss about their attendance.

aknif, I know exactly what ya mean. We never had it that bad over here but we do have the occasional "who ate my lunch" email circulated from time to time due to a lunch grabber. I can't believe your guy actually had the agenda down to a science..... it MUSTA been an :joe:

They were in, and both 'donated' the cookies from their desk to the general table. The boss actually walked through all the offices trying to get others to eat them so he wouldn't...Of course, I confessed to the 'taste-test' and he laughed. Still tried to get me to take another one, even though I was leaving to go get a temporary crown put in! He's a good boss.
