In our 29 gallon, we have a bunch of platies & tiger barbs...in our 40, we have 3 red eyed tetras, 3 neon blue dwarf rainbows and 2 dwarf gouramies (males). Could I put the tiger barbs into our 40 hex (tall), and our gouramies into our 29 gallon tank? In other words, switch the tiger barbs & gouramies around....

Thanks :)

Get more dwarf neons ...

They are not happy unless they have a shoal of at least six ...

I'd recommend 2 males to 4 females as I just started a school of them myself and they are very happy.

Tiger barbs, as far as I can tell from mine, like to have space to run around, so better a long tank then a tall tank. But definately not gouramis and tiger barbs.

Same goes for the red eyed tetras, except the M/F part.
