found a 40 gal acrilic tank with a nice wood stand and cabinet. It has over 100 bucks worth of store bought lighting and was used for a fresh water then switched over to salt.

I like the lighting part.

Don't know much about the filter.

Or the heater.

They are pretty close maybe 13 miles away.

The only prob is it is 2 years old but they want 175 for it.

Is it worth it?

This was their ad.

Beautiful tank, with blue back comes with stand and eclipse hood. Eheim canister filter, air pump and stone and much more!! must go. No leaks, some minor scratches not noticeable when filled with water. I first used for a fresh water, then to salt. I have live sand, as well as decor for fresh water set up. This is a great deal! FIRM in price since the hood alone is over $90 .Please call to pick up ( 2 person job) 818-357-1578

Do you thing it is worth the asking price?
I called and just found out that the tank has pretty much everything i want except lighting.
So thats extra money i would have to spend, should i pass or take it?
Brand new it would cost me at least 300-400 bucks to get this setup, the again i have to upgrade the lighting which could be alot of money.

I would at least take the time to look at it to see it's condition first hand.

I guess it will come down to the condition of it. Could you purchase what is being offered, for $175, including any shipping? Lighting can always be upgraded.

it has 20 watt lighting and it could not be bought for this price.

Lighting is expensive to upgrade.

It has an eclipse hood so i don't know how much room i would have to put in new light. How much would it cost to put in twin bulbs in there two make it at least 2 watt per gal?

How much would i cost to do that?
