if your mixing it your going to have it in your water. just use prime and be safe.

Hi Friends !

I'm sure that our Town Water supply has chlorine but at my place, we use a mixture of Well and City water supply. I'm not sure how much the 2 waters are mixed so I thought it would be better to be safe...

Just a word to the wise on this.

Don't tell everyone you do this, Technically you are supposed to have 2 sperate sets of pipes if you have both well and city water. Its a pretty hefty fine if they catch you. Its so that incase your pipes should fail or the checkvalves failed any pathogens that were in your well won't get transfered to the city water supply.

I would use prime if you have a mixture though. I would also have your well checked yearly even if its not required. Contact your local county extension office. They will send you in the right direction.

fyi...the OP (nagukush) is not in N. America. I believe he is located somewhere in southern Asia, India iirc.

Anyways, if I was in your situation, I would use a chlorine neutralizer anyways. Better safe than sorry.
