Looking at the photos I just put on the other thread (Silly Ory) he is even more orange now. I prefer it too, though when it first started happening I was very unimpressed!

I'm glad we've turned you to the oranda side Kristina...now I just have to get all the goldies you've made me want!

Thanks! We had a tank set up last year (I think it was awhile) but we really didn't do it right and got way to much fish. So we are doing it right this time. We had a Oranda and a Ryukin. The Oranda was named Nibble because he nibbled the bag where my fingers were, and the Ryukin was named Optifish Prime because my son loves Transfomers, we also had a Red Cap Oranda my daughter wanted a Japanese name so we called it Ichigo which means Strawberry.

My kids started calling it Nibble the moment they saw it at the store. Orandas are my favorite goldy.

I removed the substrate to keep maintenance easier for me. Will add some decorative vases I think and then plants.

My new black ranchu, Loco. I wanted to add a panda moor but after 30 minutes of inspecting every goldfish, my head was about to burst and I decided not to get more instead due to indecisiveness. Will get more in time though. Loco is all by himself until he's a bit big enough to outcompete other goldies for food. I think he may be eating some of my baby mystery snails. Ugh! I may have to transfer him again if this persists.

I have a comet and a shubunkin but as they're in the pond, it's tricky to get good photos. They're sexually matured already and measure 6 inches.

:welcome: back, EC!

What are the dimensions of the 70g? You could fit at least 2-3 more fancies depending on the strains you get. Orandas, fantails, ranchus and black moors tend to grow rather large though.
