OK, I'll bite. Tank is a 55, with two orandas (Puck and Oberon), one moor (Othello, obviously), and one lionhead (Quasimodo). We had a calico oranda (Dogberry), easily the best of the lot, but he went bellyup for reasons unknown. Hi wen obscured his eyes, and I think that might've had something to do with it.

Hi Ebola,

The wen development has nothing to do with it going floaty. The wen growth simply develops as a result of protein and fatty acid intake. Some orandas, ranchus, lionheads and lionchus whose wen obscured their eyesight had to be sedated and their wens trimmed. If you want to cut away a portion of their wen to prevent your goldfish from going blind, ask a vet specializing in fish to do that for you. Or if you have the courage to do that, studying this manual is a must so you can carefully weigh your options on that issue.

You have very nice orandas and I also adore orandas myself.;) That ranchu is cute.:D

6 Goldfish, 1 Rubberlip Pleco, 3 Snails and 6 Giant Daino live in a 55g sand planted tank. Danio and snails are in the 120g with my other freshwater fish until spring time or until I can find a heater, w/e comes first. I might move the Pleco too, should I? The water is pretty cold right now.

Rubberlip Pleco & Snails that lives with the Golds.

I managed to recollect all my images and compile them into a slideshow. Here they are.

Ryukins, pearlies and watonais. I no longer have the pearlies losing them to my senegal bichir a few months ago.:(

Another slideshow of all my orandas, ranchus and lionhead.

Cwo, they're koi, not goldfish.:D Beautiful all the same.:)

Ker, do I see a shortbodied oranda there?:D Your goldies are such cuties.:hearts:

I know this is kind of off topic, but I am thinking of getting some Goldies and was curious how well they get along with snails? I read they love eating them.. Any quick advice?
