You have to go back quite a ways in this thread to see my last post, so I figured an update was due.

I'm still running a planted goldfish tank. All the little guys have become big guys. There are four in this picture -- two are vying for food at the bottom.

Unfortunately I lost one of my favourites a few months back, a calico ryukin I called "Cal". (Still shown in my avatar at time of posting). Combination of contributing causes, but swim-bladder problems and bullying were the main ones. Ultimately the other fish were better off for the extra space.

There are 10 goldfish, an African Featherfin, an Eclipse, and several other cleaners (cory's and plecos). I know the catfish wouldnt normally go with goldies, but we're doing quite well and they've been living together almost a year now. We're finally growing up so we're getting a little crowded, but frequent water changes and all has still been well!

Nice looking goldies.

Full Tanks shot followed a video of my Goldies breeding; Commons, Comets and Shubunkins.

I love everyone's fish! Aldiaz, how large is that tank? It looks beautiful, and I love the driftwood. Is there a cover? My comets and sarasass in pond go so wild during spawning that I've seen the female nearly pushed out of the pond.

Agreed...some real nice looking goldfish on this thread!

Thanks for the kudos. My tank is 770G (10'L x 3'W x 4'T). It has 3 openings on the top, but I have covers, so no one can be pushed out (I can definitely see how that might happen though). I have a build thread on MFK in case you wanted to check that out: http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?433117-770-Gallon-Monster-Setup

But yeah, it was wild seeing them breed. I raised the temperature by a few degrees the day before this happened, so the temp increase must have triggered it. The biggest was about 11" (she was a common), the smallest was a Shubunkin at around 5". Funny you mention them breeding in your pond...all the commons and the Comets were given to me by a lady who was trying to thin out her stock...her goldfish were breeding like mad and she couldn't give them away fast enough.

OMG, awesome build thread! That may be the coolest tank I've ever seen.

The first few years in my pond my goldfish had several fry that survived and grew up, but since then I've had so many frogs I think they eat them. I see my goldfish spawning, but I just never see babies anymore.

I got an awesome shot of my moor Batman. Had to share!

Oh, and I have two more goldies coming in the mail tomorrow, so I'm sure I'll have more pictures to post then! :)
