I have used naturose, its in a lot of color enhancing foods as well. I don't feed it to most of my shrimp as I don't want their colors to change when they hit their new homes but I did use it with a portion of my blue/black shrimp to see if it would enhance their blues and it did. Supposedly it turns yellow shrimp green as well.
true but i was just wondering. i drop three algae wafer into the tank already but im unsure if their eating. i have 1 pleco 8 nerites 4 ramshorn 1 otto 2 saes 3 ghost shrimp and then the cherry red shrimp. i drop zuch in yesterday and i have saw every thing in the tank feeding of it except the red shrimp.
Yes indeed it will turn Yellow Shrimp (Neocaridina heteropoda) a blue green color after a couple weeks of use. They will become yellow again after stopping use, but it takes a while. I did some experimenting with this stuff a year or so ago.

what kind of lighting do you use? I have CFLs around the 6500-10000k range. Or are you referring to something else entirely?
On my shrimp tanks I run Coralife T5 strips with dual bulbs. They have a 6700K bulb and a 10K bulb. It may seem like you could just use any bulbs that have the same color spectrum, but the Coralife's bulbs are really amazing. :thm:
