shrimp color enhancer

i have a coralife freshwater 65 watt fixture

I have several of those fixtures too. Great lights, but they come with an all 6700K bulb. Which is very yellow/green light. I recently replaced the bulbs in my 4' version of this light with two 65 watt half and half bulbs and was amazed by the difference. :)

H3D - When you say half and half bulbs, what exactly do you mean? Are there bulbs that are half 6,500 and half 10K? The only half and half bulbs I've seen are the saltwater half daylight, half actinic bulbs and I've heard that actinic isn't good for plant growth in freshwater. Am I missing something?

Yes. They are half plant - half full.

Here is a link to the replacement bulbs I used...

what is the difference? plant growth, fish color, less algae?

It makes a huge difference in the color of everything inside the aquarium.

Look at the differences in the amount of colored light being given off.
