Yah! I bought some ghost shirmp at petsmart, these are pretty big ones too...... one has eggs under his tail!!!! I want them to live theres only about 9 or 10 egss, can I put him in a breeder net till they get bigger?

Oh and one other thing..... will a small 1 inch black loach have his way with theM? Hope not...

What kind of loach, most likely yes, it will eat them unless its a kuhli loach. Also, ghost shrimp hatch into a larvael stage, so if you have a power filter the babies will most likely get sucked up. You can try covering it with a sponge to see if this helps. Some species of ghost shrimp also require brackish conditions for the larvael stage, but many commonly sold now will develop in freshwater. Good luck.

Um its a black khuli loach real small really thin, kinda like a worm if that helps.... They are freshwater shrimp, instead of a sponge on the filter can i put them in a brreder net?!?!

the female carring the eggs might get stressed in a breeder net and drop the eggs, so i would leave in population and cover your intake.

ok I will, that way I wont have to cover up my filter, and the net is prettyfine

If you have sufficient hiding spaces, some are bound to survive. I started with 5 ghost shrimp, I have 10-15 now, which means my betta hasn't been able to eat all the babies.

It's[edit: the breeder net] probably not necessary, I have a couple of shrimp in my tank that are nearly constantly berried.

Better safe then sorry ;D

well... you will have to feed the loach anyway... so...
