don't kill it, i've had a shrimp like that before, i took one out before and placed it somewhere else, moments later, it sprang back to life. i think sometimes they are trying to molt or doing something else. if they aren't dead, i'd leave them alone, the other shrimps in your tank will take care of him if he dies anyways. just make sure you take him out if he dies, and nobody is eating him.

I'm not going to kill him, mmm_unit... I've worked my hiney off to keep him alive.
He just went through another molt. This time he has a nice big right arm that has a lovely big claw with a good bit of red coloring, and a not quite so big left arm. His arms are much bigger after this molt, though still not up to his former manly self, yet.
Tomorrow I'll post pics of him that I took this afternoon. He was snacking on his discarded exoskeleton.
I've been giving him a half of a Kensfish veggie pellet with extra calcium, and a half of a Kensfish brine shrimp pellet twice a day.
I haven't had to hand feed him since his first molt after the traumatic loss of arms and legs, at which time he regained smallish arms and could shove food into his mouth on his own.:headbang2:
Here are the pics after his most recent molt. check out his new arms and legs.
Here he is muching on his discarded exoskeleton.
You can see his new right arm, slightly bigger than his new left arm.
The next photo is an overhead shot. He still has an opacity that is a bit worrisome, though in this photo the coloring is off; he's not that opaque or greenish like that. Just the camera and the lighting.
Those are from Friday afternoon. He looks even better today. He's eating heartily.
Thought you guys might like to see how "Sarge" is doing. He escaped from the breeder trap, night before last, so I thought it was time to take him out of the 10 gallon and put him into the 40 breeder.
The first pic is without the flash, tank lights only.
This picture below is with flash. Shows his true colors a bit better, but he actually has more of a yellow look. I hope this is not an indication that he's not in the best of health.
He has been happily hunting for small Ramshorns, and picking through the Java moss. His new arms and legs are working great!
