I have a 55 gallon with approximately 2.6 gazillion cherry shrimp in it.
I love it, they are so cool, flying around the tank like little helicopters.
Also have some harleys and cories in the tank.

I really want to put an angelfish in that tank. This will obviuously put a damper on the shrimp population.

I also have a 30 gallon that I am setting up. I have decided that I needs me some shrimp, so I want to make that tank a shrimp palace. But I also want some pretty cool fish, not just little schooling fish like neons and such.

Does anyone have suggestions for interesting fish I could put in there other than cories, that would not feast on the cherry shrimp? The bigger the better (within reason).

How about loaches? Yo-yos might be too big for a 30 gal, are there any other cool loaches that would work?

At first I wanted to get a pair of kribs, but I think they would tear up the shrimp, no?

The only loaches suitable for a 30 gal would be khulis. I have them with my crs and they don't seem to bother them. I also have threadfin rainbows and pencilfish with them. They're small but beautiful and very entertaining!

you could get a stellar school of lampeyes, or embers or cpd's or something like that. Any of the smaller fish will work, but in a larger amount they are really breathtaking.

Yeah, khulis would definitely work.

I'll check into the ones you mentioned, jinx.
I guess bigger fish are out, I can live with that.

OK, I don't know what a CPD is......

Thanks!
