Shrimp (I think)

The cursed Jinkz got me interested in another facet of aquaria! LOL:drool:

When I asked for shrimp of course I got what I asked for. "Shrimp" seems to be the appropriate name! Tiny buggers they are! I sure found out fast they can jump as well! I cannot believe how amazingly fast these things are.

Well, this is my first attempt for a foray into the wild world of inverts (unless snails count). I hope I find these guys as interesting to watch as they are at the LFS!

Wish me luck!

Yeah, she messed me up also. I've finished testing my potting soil planted shrimp tank, and I'm halfway through outfitting a 30 gal shrimp jungle. MzJinz rots your brain and leaves a few shrimp eggs in your skull.

LOL, it's extremely easy to get hooked on crustaceans. I had the bad luck to get it when I was a kid in the late 70's. My friends and I would net crawdads in the streams above my house, then keep them in large buckets, and feed them tadpoles. Now I've got two rooms in my house with tanks filled with different species of shrimp, mostly Macrobrachium species.

Wow! She did that to you?

I still think anyone with inverts should also have loaches.lol I have 4 Pomacea canaliculata here but that's all I have right now.

Shrimp are cool. Everyone who sees them in my tanks is either being very polite or they really do like them. They are active and busy little fellas. Not Many creatures crawl, swim and pinch. The crazy things try to pull the hairs out of my skin when I trim plants. They're a great addition to many tanks.
