I'm just not having any luck with shrimp these day.
I got this shrimp a few monthes ago and the pet store was selling them as amano shrimp but I've been doubting this lately, and it looked more like a ghost shrimp but now I'm doubting that too since today I saw it with eggs and it's the only shrimp aside from the wild neos in the tank.

Can anyone ID this shrimp and tell my why it's pregnant?

Its a ghost shrimp I think pic is a little bad , but they well have eggs from time to time , they just wont have baby's in your tank or very very unlikely , they need salt/brine water to to that , But green eggs are a indication its a wild type shrimp . Maybe if you can get a better pic someone can make a better ID .

can you get a picture of one or more of the "wild neos" in the tank? The shrimp pictured does like like it could be a bit of a throwback tiger but I keep tigers and have never seen eggs that color either. Do your wild neos breed, or at least egg up like that?

females will berry up like that but of course if there is no male, or at least no breeding, the eggs will not fertilize and will just be dropped. Keep an eye on this one and let us know what happens. :)

These images are about the best I can get.
So this this shrimp can get pregnant without a male shrimp ever being around?

I got the wild neos on ebay from someone selling them as "Dark Green Shrimp" I made a thread awhile about it here http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/showthread.php?250002-Dark-green-shrimp-confusion scroll down a little and you'll see the pics of them.

With the size of the eggs it looks like they've been ferilized but I'll have to wait and see.

looks like a red nose shrimp

I looked that shrimp up and it does look like a red nose shrimp except it doesn't have the red nose but the body shape and stripes are the same so maybe it's a close relative.
