They usually go for $6 at my LFS. I bought mine (20 - she gave me 23 - from UK for 23 GBP including shipping so about $2 each) from Ebay in UK... I found it doing a Google Search... let me dig for the seller's name later, she's really nice. The one on AB is from Singapore, and he said even if I paid him now, he wouldn't have shipped it for 3 weeks.
THANKS! I just can't wait for the back to be covered with java moss and the top to be covered with amazon frogbit. The frogbit has nice, fine-threaded roots that the shrimp also like. Hehe, it's trully a shrimp haven.
I heard the moss balls help to control algae as they suck up most of the nutrients the algae need?
Hmmm... I cannot really atest to that because I do have some algae and look how many balls are in my tank! But I don't know, I'll have to see when I get a timer... basically my lights go on at 7AM, and stays on till 11PM that's 16 hours... I just really want my moss to grow that's why.
