Yipee! During a water change 2 days ago I spotted a small cherry shrimp in my killer killifish tank. I couldn't catch him but found a female too.
Recap: I got 10 rcs & a pair of gardneri killis 7 weeks ago. The fish were eating the shrimp but I was able to recue 3 then 2 more. This weekend the female killi was dead (by her mate I think).
Today I decided to move the male killi out of the q tank & took out most plants etc. & saw the missing shrimp plus 2 more! I'm now back up to 9 shrimp. There must have been more than 10 originally, I saw a couple be eaten. So now I'm going to leave the plants in the Q & see if there are any more miracle survivors. Amazing how well even very red shrimp can hide from me & the killifish.
