Shrimp or snails for my 3 gallon?

I really need a cleaner in my 3 gallon, the ADF food that goes uneaten is becoming a bit of a problem, and the betta is becoming obsessed with grabbing it out of the bottom. I've tried mystery snails, but they either tried to kill my betta, or they died in a week or so, providing little to no help. However, I think a ghost shrimp might be reasonable. They're cheap, and if they die, my betta and ADFs would surely eat it. However, I don't know if that'd be right or not.

Any opinions?

I'd try the shrimp since they seem safer to your fish. They get to about an inch so they should be safe around the frogs and Betta ( Betta may be the biggest risk but I've had some and my betta never bothered them) unless of course they die than all bets are off.

Are the cherry or ghosts better cleaners?

My ghosts eat everything and didn't bother my ADFs at all when they were in my main tank. To help keep the frog pellets, worms, and brine shrimp from littering the tank you could try taking a little aquaium safe dish, I used a terra cotta dish, and put their food on it. It has been working well for me so far.
