Yes they will eat shrimp pellets. They will also eat left over fish food that is sitting on the bottom, love frozen foods, and enjoy algae wafers

with frozen food, you may want to spot-feed with a syringe or turkey baster so that the other fish don't rush to it first. bottom feeders can be trickier to feed, but a little attention is all it takes.
