OK, since a couple of people have suggested I consider a shrimp tank as an option, has anyone got any good links like the hundreds of fish links that do "good beginner shrimps" and "good shrimp tankmates" etc, I have seen a few in aqadvisor.com stocking calculator, is that any good?

I have a biube pure, a 13 inch diameter cylinder, with a 14 inch high water column, around 30L, ceramic media substrate, air pump and airstone through a bubble tube in the centre, might plant it with some real ones or just the fake ones that come with it. Its a very nice looking tank, so I would want a good mix of colourful and active shrimp but have absolutely no idea which ones work, which ones go together etc.

Oh, I should say as well that the LFS here in Malmö don't seem to do a lot of shrimp, I think I have seen some brownish see through ones, but not much more. Maybe I just missed them. Is there a way to get hold of these online or does anyone know any other places nearby?

Dibs on this! cherry red shrimp are great, aquabid sells them for cheap and they are not hard to care for. You are gonna want some lower plants like moss possibly. These guys range from clear to a dark red to even black at times. If you purchas$e, id say get at least 10 and then let them colonize

I do like them but do Aquabid have dealers in Sweden? Come to that, how do any fish get "posted" to anywhere????

Actually, depending on how much you can afford to spend for shipping, Aquabid has dealers out of Germany, and India. so maybe you could at least contact them to see if they know someone in Sweden. AB also has a section for buy and sell. Maybe post on there that you are looking for swedish sellers.

I would watch the market place on the forums for a good deal. Start with something easy like, Cherry, Blue Peal, Snowball, Yellow, and Dark Green. I would only pick one type for a small tank.
