Shrimp swimming frantically!

How are they doing today Tuna? Like Zig said if it's just the males, it's not a big deal, but it's definitely a danger signal if all the shrimp are swimming around. It's not the temp unless you were way off. It's also not the fish, or plants. It could be ammonia, or ph.

I haven't seen any dead shrimp, and they seem to be doing all fine now. I guess they were just getting settling in, haha. I put in an Amano shrimp in there, and it is quite the bully (probably b/c it's the largest of them all).

So, in the past few days, I've noticed that I didn't have as many CRS's.. and since this incident where the shrimp were trying to escape, I had the water level topped off because they seemed to chill off. Well, tonight, I found a couple of dead CRS's in the filter housing. I'm supposed to have 15 of them, but I only count only about 10. It seems that quite a few have went against the current and died. I now know to keep the water level lower permanently, doh!!! Strange because water parameters were fine last time I checked.. I'll check again. The only thing that has changed is the big piece of driftwood that's put in there, and it's releasing some tannin.

Man, I have way more RCS's than CRS's now with all these RCS fry popping up. I was hoping for the opposite..
