Well, the impossible finally happened. My LFS got red cherry shrimp!
For $1.50!
Ok.....Now, I need a tank for them. I was thinking of getting a wal-mart special 10 gal. for $30, and adding my small (for a 5 gal.)internal filter, so the external one is not needed. I am also going to plant it with some of my clippings that have over-run my 29 gal.(mostly going to be brazilion pennywort and anacharis) Would sand be a good substrate? I think that the 5 gal filter would work in the tank, as for right now, the shrimp are going to be the only thing in there. Maybe a few white clouds later, but I am going to get a air-powered foam filter later. Any ideas? I am mainly going to use the tank to breed the RCS, as shrimp don't seem to live very long(or be seen to much, stupid fish) in my 29 gal, and I don't want to have to keep replacing them, and would like to see them!
