Ok so I broke down and bought a peppermint shrimp. I know he might not eat my aiptasia but...well...he was cool lookin' :D

He's doing really good and just crawling around all the rocks but my question was, I've read that I need to add iodine to encourage proper molting? Is this true? And if so, what's the best way to do this?

I have 2 peppermints, 1 skunk cleaner and 1 blood red fire shrimp... they all get along fine. The fire shrimp is new - it picked a cave just inches from where the skunk hangs out. Once in a while one of the peppermints ends up sitting at one of the openings of the fire's home cave. So in my case at least, they all get along.

All 4 of them molted within a week of being in my tank - I currently use instant ocean salt and do not dose anything.

Cool, thanks for your responses. My shirmp just molted last night so something must be right. I found a freaky shrimp skeleton this morning. Do you know how long inverts live typically?
